Description

COVID caused widespread mental and emotional distress, contributing to unprecedented stress, burnout and turnover among multifamily housing team members. This session features experts from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, the nation’s leading voice regarding mental health and addiction recovery. Participants explore concrete tools to recognize distress, gain insight about how to grow more comfortable talking about these issues and learn state-of-the-art strategies for addressing problems, easing stress and supporting true mental and emotional wellness at work.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand current trends in workplace mental health, what happens when issues are ignored and benefits of effectively managing distress situations.
  • Learn how to recognize and address signs of mental illness and substance-use disorders in the workplace and with remote employees.
  • Understand how Mental Health First Training at Work might fit into a larger strategy to create mentally healthy environments.
